Job Description

  • Oversee people management of corresponding team, including staffing & resources management, development and drive the performance culture
  • Formulate staff training and people development plan in accordance with business strategy, company direction and employee's individual needs
  • Manage the routine operation and staff resources of corresponding team
  • Recommending technical methods, instruments to be us ed and the necessary reagents and consumables required
  • Ensure proficiency testing and internal quality control performed in laboratory
  • Monitoring and periodic review of SOP of the departments and carrying out test evaluation or quality improvement programs as necessary
  • Lead, monitor and control internal quality system and internal audit for the whole laboratory. Ensure compliance to ISO 17025 and all quality standards of the team
  • Control and monitor the integrity and confidentiality of information in the test reports in compliance with the code of conduct of the Laboratory
  • Investigate and resolve any complaint cases and recommend optimization plans;
  • Provide professional advices to internal parties on technical and compliance issues, as well as internal process / practices alignment
  • Perform other duties / tasks as required

Qualifications

  • Degree holder or above in chemistry or any related discipline
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experiences and at least 3 years’ laboratory operation and supervisory experience;
  • Knowledge in HOKLAS laboratory quality system requirement;
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to work independently;
  • Good management, communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese including Mandarin;
  • Candidates with less experience will be considered for the position of Assistant Technical Manager
