Job Description

The main propose and responsibility of Quality Assurance & Quality Controller Manager is coordination, supervision, documentation review and approval of EPC Contractor’s Construction QA/QC process.

    Qualifications

    Education

    •  Degree in Electromechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or other related qualifications.

    Experience

    • Minimum of 10 years in similar position or equivalent.
    • Background in Power Projects with Solar Photovoltaic Technology and exposure in field services.
    • Solid experience with ISO 9001, 14001, 45001

    Competencies

    • Experience in team leading, partnership and change management.
    • Computer Skills with the use of computer systems and applications such as business intelligence, MS word, MS Excel, and PowerPoint.
    • Fluent in Portuguese and English
    • Ability to act independently and to coordinate several activities simultaneously.
    • Ability to interact with all levels of management and stakeholders.
    • Strong analytical skills.

    Additional Information

    Responsibilities

    • Review and approval of all Construction QA/QC procedures and templates before the commencement of the respective construction activities, in accordance to the bellow:
    1. Project Documents, state of the art and good engineering practices.
    2. Project quality plans.
    3. Field Quality Plans. (Inspection and test plan)
    4. Inspection Checklists.
    5. Installation manuals.
    6. Method Statements.
    7. Witnessing of key quality checks and tests as described in Field quality plans.
    • Review and approval of all Construction QC inspection records, in accordance with the approved Construction QA/QC plan.
    • Non-conformance report (NCR): Issuance when non-compliance with the approved documentation is detected and follow-up of all Non-conformance reports (including root cause analysis, corrective action implementation, closure) listed in Contractor NCR register.
    • Issuance of the respective Mechanical Completion certificates.
    • Submission of brief monthly report to the Owner detailing progress and areas of concern until completion.
    • Review of Contractor’s Monthly Quality Report. Proprietary and Confidential
    • Document controlling, including the sharing of documents through the Document Management System, elaboration of transmittals, organization of the project internal folder (if different to the DMS), etc.
    • Coordination, review and approval of Final Quality Dossier.

    Operational Integrity

    • Adopt safety and operational integrity behaviors in accordance with related Legislation SGS policies and procedures.
    • Comply with SGS Code of Integrity.
    • Ensuring that team members comply with relevant procedures and work instructions.
    • Applies judgment and acts according to the SGS standards of ethics and integrity.
    • Investigate incidents and prepare relevant reports.
    • Participate in safety talks and discussions with team members.
