Job Description

The main propose and responsibility of High Voltage Site Supervisor is coordination, supervision, and management on behalf of the Owner and in coordination with Owner’s Project Management Team of all Contractor’s construction activities on site.

Qualifications

Education

  •  Degree in electromechanical engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or other related qualifications.

Experience

  • Minimum of 10 years in similar position or equivalent.
  • Background in Power Projects with Solar Photovoltaic Technology and exposure in field services.
  • Solid experience with ISO 9001, 14001, 45001.

Competencies

  • Experience in team leading, partnership and change management.
  • Computer Skills with the use of computer systems and applications such as business intelligence, MS word, MS Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Fluent in Portuguese and English
  • Ability to act independently and to coordinate several activities simultaneously.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of management and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills.

Additional Information

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that the construction drawings are followed by EPC Contractor, HS Coordinator and Technical Controller(s) as required prior to start execution of EPC Construction works.
  • Supervision of specified construction operations related to EPC contracts in accordance with the EPC contractor’s documents, APPROVED procedures and LAWS
  • Manage overall master schedule of the project including all the interfaces between different contractors.
  • Monitor progress for completion against milestones and make recommendations to the Owner regarding invoice payments. This includes verification of necessary material/equipment receiving onsite, with associated paperwork.
  • Coordination and management of weekly construction meetings with the EPC Contractor.
  • Attendance of daily construction site meetings
  • Prepare and deliver formats and templates for construction monitoring reports.
  • Detail monitoring of construction works report any deficiencies observed, setting out the cause of the deficiencies and the likely additional costs and/or delay to the PROJECT and pro-actively propose corrective actions as required.
  • Construction Risk Management.
  • Supports the Owner’s HSE Manager in monitoring the proper implementation of the HSE Management Plan on Site.
  • Review and validation of weekly construction forecasts provided by the EPC Contractor.
  • Review of Contractor’s Monthly Progress Report.
  • Elaboration of weekly construction progress reports.
  • Review and validation of EPC Contractor’s Punch List.

Technical Support 

  • Photographic or video records of the site (and of cable and access routes, and of features on-site, or along those routes), before and after the commencement of the Project. The photographic record of condition is to be supported by written notes explaining in brief the area and work undertaken in chronological order.
  • Reports on progress of construction activities to be submitted with weekly reports as per the construction schedule provided by EPC Contractor, including reasons and analysis of deviations against the baseline schedule, impact on the overall master schedule and detailed mitigation plan obtained from EPC Contractor.
  • Implementation of a consistent system of labelling of all major components of the Project throughout the Site.

Operational Integrity

  • Adopt safety and operational integrity behaviors in accordance with related Legislation SGS policies and procedures.
  • Comply with SGS Code of Integrity.
  • Ensuring that team members comply with relevant procedures and work instructions.
  • Applies judgment and acts according to the SGS standards of ethics and integrity.
  • Investigate incidents and prepare relevant reports.
  • Participate in safety talks and discussions with team members.
