We're currently hiring a Lab Manager in Jubail, KSA. Reporting to Country Lab Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible to run the natural resources laboratory efficiently day in and day out meeting the SGS Management requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Manage overall operations of the laboratory activities.
• Manage and monitor the PTP samples.
• Understand the technical aspects including Test Methods, Calibration, Maintenance and Reporting LIMS procedures.
• Understand ISO 9001:2015 & ISO 17025 -2015 requirements as applicable to the section.
• Verify the purchased products (equipment/standards/chemicals…etc) are meeting the standard method as well as SGS QHSE requirements.
• Manage client communications and technical clarifications.
• Conduct Risk assessment as required by the ISO and safety standards
• Ensure the Test Method Assessments are conducted as per the plan.
• Manage pre and post contractual technical issues.
• Lead, coach and develop a technically competent team.
• Support Saudi Lab Manager in other duties as needed.

Required Skills:

• Bachelor degree in Chemistry.
• 8-10 years of experience; including at least 3-4 years of experience as Lab Manager
• Strong knowledge of the relevant ASTM, ISO, IP methods etc.
• Strong Lab Analysis Management expertise and technical knowhow
• Ability to coordinate and motivate a team towards a common goal
• A sound understanding of the group accounting system, P&L reports, etc
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Acts quickly and decisively; able to make tough calls
• Works well under pressure, challenges status quo

Fluent English. Arabic is an added value
