We are hiring HSE Supervisor to be based in Dubai, overlooking operations across UAE. Reporting directly to the HSE Manager, the successful candidate will maintain and ensure the compliance of Group HSE requirements in their area of responsibility, ensure and follow-up for strong HSE performance.
Job Description
- Conduct HSE Site inspection/audits
- Implement Group HSE policies
- Arrange and conduct Internal/external HSE trainings
- Deal with different business lines and functions to ensure SGS meet Group HSE Policies, client’s HSE requirements and local legal requirements
- Strive towards implementing best HSE Industrial practices and meeting the annual set objectives and targets
- Prepare and present HSE Reports to management
- Lead Incident Investigations
- Assist operation teams in performing risk assessments
- Select and validate the Quality PPE
- Advice and/or update HSE Policy and Safe Working Methods as required
- Ensure communication of safety alerts, legislation updates and changes in HSE to all staff
- Assist for tender’s preparation with operations teams for HSE technical evaluation
- Deal with the government agencies to comply with the local HSE regulatory requirement.
Qualifications
- Engineering degree is required
- 3 – 5 years of experience in heavy industries such as Oil & Gas, ports, refinery, marine…etc.
- NEBOSH and other safety related certifications is a must
- Excellent English communication skills
- Excellent MS Office skills
- Ability to interact and influence all levels of management and staff as well as external clients
- Strong knowledge of the HSE best practices
