Job Description
Perform Inspection and Technical Audits for Petroleum Retail Stations across the country as may be assigned/ deployed, in accordance with the clients TERMS of REFERENCE (ToR)
Perform Technical Audits in a minimum of five (5) Petroleum Retail stations in a week, and/ or as may be assigned/ required to meet the company cumulative quarterly/ annual target
Develop and submit Daily and Weekly Reports for all Retail Stations audited as per the standard checklist/ reporting format
Appraise self with the requirements of the governing standards listed under ‘Primary Responsibilities’ in this document
Develop Smart work plan tailored for specific region under inspection from time to time to meet Quarterly targets.
Develop/ report on areas of improvement to enhance performance and execution of the project
Develop and submit Weekly schedule to the Project Coordinator, including Journey Management Plans
Daily communication and reporting of daily activities/ developments to the Project Coordinator.
Drive self to and from locations of inspection (except regions marked for air travel)
Ensure/ facilitate/ oversee timely service & maintenance of company vehicles, proper handling and management of company assets and/or finances.
Ensure compliance to SGS Operational Integrity requirements and meet KPIs of the same.
Perform any other task that may be assigned for successful operation of company business.
Qualifications
Degree in Bachelor of Science in any Engineering Discipline recognized by the Institution of Engineers of Kenya (IEK) and the Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK)
Registered as a graduate Engineer with Engineers Board of Kenya.
At least 2 years’ experience in petroleum operations, petroleum infrastructure design, construction or maintenance or technical services/ inspections.
Knowledge in Kenyan regulations governing operation of Petroleum Retail Outlets
Must hold a valid driving license
Proficient in written and verbal English
Must be willing to be deployed to any region across the country besides normal residence
Additional Information
The incumbent shall be responsible for technical Audits at Petroleum Retail Stations across the country in accordance with the following standards;
Kenya Standard 2506:2014 - Petroleum facilities: Retail and consumer outlets specification
Kenya Standard 1969:2013 - Installation of underground storage tanks, pumps/dispensers and pipe work at service station and consumer Installation-Code of Practice
The Energy 2019 and the Petroleum Act 2019 (compliance with petroleum business licensing and petroleum pricing Regulations);
The Environment Management and Coordination Act 2015 (compliance with effluent discharge licensing and Environment Impact
Assessment/Environment Audit Regulations),
The Occupational Safety and Health Act 2007 (compliance with registration of workplace),
The Weights and Measures Act CAP 513 (compliance with annual calibration of petroleum dispensing pumps)
