Job Functions

• Develop strategy for implementing and validating new test methods. 
• Drives continuous improvements to internal processes and recommend improvements that will improve productivity, quality, and control of operational costs. 
• Provides operations with technical input and troubleshooting.
• Works closely with Quality to create and maintain a robust chemistry quality system, maintain proficiency programs, investigate issues and meet regulatory and client requirements.
• Maintains awareness of both the external and internal competitive landscape, opportunities for expansion, customers, markets, new industry developments and standards, etc. 
• Collaborates with Business Development to determine client needs and requirements to facilitate business growth.
• Provide technical input regarding equipment purchases and maintenance, laboratory renovations and other capital expenditures –

Required:

• Bachelor degree in Science or Technical Discipline
• 10+ years relevant experience with expertise in delivering Testing Services
• Experience with a wide variety of analytical chemistry testing equipment to include ICP, ICPMS, LCMS, HPLS, and GC.

Preferred:

• MS or PhD in relevant scientific discipline
• Experience in a 3rd, party commercial food testing laboratory

Travels up to 30% of time. Some travel might be local or international.
