Job Description
Successful Candidate will be responsible but not limited to:
- Assist the Reporting Assistants to provide technical support to the business in areas of coal superintendence, production monitoring and project work.
- Assist the Operations Manager to include auditing work, quotations and customer interactions where appropriate.
- Assist the Operations Manager with the implementation and monitoring of quality and innovation programs where appropriate
- Assist the Production Supervisors with assessing new equipment and procedures coming into the business where appropriate and their validation with SOP and MOC completion as to NATA requirements
- Assist the Operations Manager to investigate and implement improvements to calibrations, maintenance, procedures, equipment and training to maximize productivity and quality
- Able to use CCLAS/ G6 at an advanced level to include but not limited to data entry, validation, reporting, pricing, invoicing.
- Feed all Site Safety requirements and management of reports from subcontractors to the Operations Manager
Qualifications
- Qualifications in science related discipline
- Experience in the coal industry desirable
- Previous experience in a coal laboratory environment
- Strong customer service and “can do” orientation
- Knowledge of the system and procedures for coal superintending and project sampling and analysis
- Able to professionally present to customers, presenting viable outputs to meet customer needs
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
