Profiler and Classification Centre (PCC) Supervisor
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
· Provides the applicable HS code for subcontracted files, classification requests received from the affiliates and contested classification reported on SGS’ certificates.
o Analyzes received classification cases.
o Advises the relevant affiliate of the applicable HS code and the justification behind this within the required time frame.
o Effects the HS code update, correction or amendment in the system based on the advised applicable HS code, as needed.
· Registers resolved cases in the Classification Database.
· Investigates classification automation issues referred by the affiliates and updates the matched automation trigger, as needed.
· Handles risk management for assigned contracts.
o Validates risk information provided by the affiliates as well as those found in various websites and Publisher reports.
o Defines the key elements necessary for efficient matching.
o Registers validated risk information in the Profiler application.
o Conducts periodic reviews of the registered risk records to determine if the risks are still relevant and updates Profiler accordingly.
Qualifications
PROFILE
· With University degree or minimum 5 years of experience related to the product of his field of expertise.
· Technical work industry experience in automotive, food, textile, pharmaceuticals, electronics, machineries or any other industry.
· Very good understanding and comprehension of the WCO HS General Interpretative Rules.
· In-depth knowledge of ones’ technical and professional skills, and can relate these to HS classification.
· Very good understanding, comprehension and application of the HSEN Sections, Chapters and the Explanatory Notes relating to the products of his specialization.
· Proficient in written and oral communications.
· Computer literate and knowledgeable in MS Office applications.
