SGS GAS are the sole distributor in Ireland for Servomex, the global experts in gas analysis and the leading provider of reliable, accurate and stable gas measurement solutions to industries worldwide. We offer testing of all gases for both process troubleshooting and validation requirements. All impurities, such as moisture, oxygen, hydrocarbons, carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, viable and non-viable particulate can be tested in the Rathnew laboratory or client site. We can also carry out both viable and non-viable particulate count testing on all compressed gases or room air.

We offer a wide-ranging knowledge of process gases, analytical equipment and process applications, SGS GAS can also offer validation and training solutions customised to our client needs. We operate our systems to ISO17025, the standard for calibrating and testing laboratories and offer an open door policy to all prospective customers to visit and/or audit our systems.

This is a full-time permanent position reporting to the Instrumentation Manager. We value daily collaboration and teamwork, reaping the benefits of working on site/office based.

• Day to day core duties include supporting SGS GAS customers in designated region completing site based gas analytical instrumentation activities.
• Responsible for routine and non-routine service and calibration of gas analytical instrumentation.
• Regularly liaising with the Instrumentation Manager, engineers, and technicians to be advised of and understand daily issues.
• Fault finding, identifying problems, and providing solutions within a specified timescale whilst minimising costs.
• Practising of Preventative Maintenance and use of specialised equipment, including hazardous equipment to the ISO17025 standard.
• Responsible for routine and non-routine service and calibration of gas analytical instrumentation.
• Complete detailed service reports and calibration logs of site based activities
• Support the projects teams during the installation and commissioning of new systems
• Comply with SGS GAS company calibration procedures and site safety polices.
• At all times, adopt a safe behaviour by exercising due regard for the health and safety of yourself, colleagues, and clients, in line with the Company’s policies and procedures.
• Ensure full compliance with the Company’s Code of Integrity & Professional Conduct, and at all times adopt behaviour in accordance with SGS’s Equality & Diversity policy

• Instrumentation or Electrical (Electrician) qualification
• Full clean drivers licence
• 5 years experience

• Strong communicator and can confidently communicate with all stakeholders
• Proven ability to identify an issue and find a solution
• Passionate about completing work on time and to a high standard
• Demonstrate a positive approach to work and be able to work unsupervised and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and maintain a tidy work area
• Delivers an exceptional customer experience
