Job Description
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Data Analyst (Projects and Support Member) to strengthen our laboratory. As a Project and Support Member, your key task is to support the Minerals laboratory. No question from the laboratory should go unanswered. Our Project & Support Department supports the lab on quality, safety, purchasing and data analyses. You will be responsible for identifying trends, making predictions and providing valuable insights that contribute to the improvement of our research processes/methodologies.
Responsibilities:
• Collecting, analyzing and interpreting large amounts of laboratory data
• Support the lab with regard to our LIMS system
• Identify patterns, trends and deviations in the data and translate them into understandable reports
• Develop and implement advanced models and algorithms for data analysis
• Collaborate with the laboratory team to optimize data collection and analysis processes
• Present findings and recommendations to internal stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
Qualifications
This position is open for EU citizen. We can't offer a VISA sponsorship.
• Bachelor's or master's degree in statistics, mathematics, computer science or a related field
• Demonstrable experience in analyzing large datasets and using statistical analysis methods
• You have experience with LIMS (information system in the lab)
• Extensive knowledge of programming languages such as Python, R or SQL
• Experience with data visualization and the use of tools such as Excel (including writing macros) and Power BI
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
• Good communication skills and the ability to convey technical information comprehensibly to non-technical stakeholders.
