SGS Nederland B.V. offers its services through 5 business lines, with SGS Industrial focusing on various technical inspections of industrial equipment. The NDT department inspects and verifies technical installations ranging from aboveground storage tanks and pipelines to overseeing the construction of factories and conducting inspections during plant shutdowns. Our NDT technicians investigate critical welding connections and determine thickness reductions in structures, plates or pipe materials.
Our important clients are found in the petrochemical industry, offshore platform and pipeline construction, as well as in construction, pipeline construction, storage terminals, and the overall industry.
 

As a welding inspector, you will be responsible for inspecting welding connections. You will work in a team and perform various non-destructive material testing. Examples of non-destructive material testing include X-ray, ultrasonic, penetrant, and magnetic testing.

In this role, you will also be responsible for the following tasks:
•    Reporting research findings
•    Communicating your research findings with the client on-site
•    Ensuring a safe working method in a complex work environment
•    Presenting yourself professionally and being alert to potential new customers
We will provide you with several additional conditions in this position, so that you can perform your work without any worries. This includes an extensive training in short modules, in which you will develop on the job into a fully certified welding inspector. Of course, you will also receive a company car that can be used for commuting.
