Job Description

  • Coordinate Master data analyst in DQM team
  • Setup and maintenance on SGS LIMS solutions which benefit and support the Digital Laboratory Program.
  • Communicate with global and regional technical staff to help drive LIMS solutions supporting the Digital Laboratory Program.
  • Ensure the full setup of LIMS global template within the Digital Laboratory Program strategy, from cradle to grave, facilitating the full implementation
  • Manage the DQM team in terms of the tasks of creation and maintenance of schemes, as well as global configuration.
  • Coordinate the Master Data Analyst and Master Data specialist based on the backlog priorities
  • Follow and maintain the standardization of test methods/test lines/ schemes, both new and updates
  • Define and Manage "Laboratory Template" global settings and schemes
  • Represent LIMS DQM on meeting and working groups
  • Provide advice during rollout data collection activities
  • Provide coaching and support to local LIMS super users and deployment team for the global master data setup and best practices for business specific LIMS operations if it is needed
  • Coordinate with LPO to ensure that the government defined is fulfilled
  • Collaborate with the business and GPO business process owners to design the new test method when a new structure is required. Follow and maintain the standardization of global master compliance to the core specification in LIMS following the specific business and GPO rules
  • Create metrics to measure capacity and progress toward the rollout goals
  • Always comply with SGS Code of Integrity and Professional Conduct
  • Responsible to define, produce and maintain the global LIMS templates to be used in Data configuration phase
  • Drive and maintain the standardization of master data in LIMS, including associated guidelines, following the specific business rules
  • Test to validate the global master data structure in LIMS according to business requirements
  • Ensure appropriate quality and global processes are being followed for LIMS setup related activities

Qualifications

  • Technical high school in chemistry or information technology
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience on LIMS:
    • Understand end-to-end lab process from client confirming order to report giving to clients and invoicing
    • Understand how analytical tests and associated instrumentation are performed
    • Understand the lab quality control principle – the real test quality control in order to control our risk, not just satisfy ISO auditor
    • Understand the testing report logic
  • Good communication and personal skills; be able to effectively get across messages and ideas to audience like IT Developers, Lab experts, business users, business managers
  • Good analytical skills:
    • Know how to break down issues
    • Find alternative solutions by using existing parameters
    • Compare pros and cons of alternative solutions
    • Find root cause
    • Synthesize issues for fast resolution
  • Team player
  • Fluency in English, other language(s) an additional benefit
  • Flexibility to travel

  • This position will be based at our IT hub in Madrid with the possibility of working from home half of your time
