Job Description

Our Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Specialist performs various GHG services for clients in the US & Canada. Those services include but are not limited to virtual and on-site verification audits, carbon accounting and emissions inventory development, emissions reduction strategy development, setting and achieving net zero targets, and providing GHG training. Additional ESG/sustainability services for clients will continue to expand, including third party sustainability report assurance (SRA) audits and trainings.

  • Perform greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions verifications for clients by performing on-site and off-site audits of their operations, processes, and documentation
  • Perform greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions consulting services for clients related to carbon accounting, emissions inventory development, emissions reduction strategies, and net zero targets
  • Deliver public and private greenhouse gas (GHG) trainings for clients
  • Perform third party sustainability report assurance (SRA) audits for clients
  • Perform additional ESG/sustainability services for clients, including delivering public and private trainings

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in science, environmental, engineering, or relevant discipline and 5 years of relevant experience (Required)
  • Master’s degree in science, environmental, engineering, or relevant discipline and 2 years of relevant experience (Preferred)
  • Required 2 years of experience with greenhouse gas (GHG) standards (CARB, GHG Protocol, ISO-14064, TCFD) (Preferred)
  • Preferred familiarity with ESG/sustainability reporting standards (GRI, SASB, AA1000) (Preferred)

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS

  • Required valid US passport and driver’s license with the ability to travel in US and Canada (Required)
  • Preferred ESG/sustainability credential (ISSP-SAP or SEP, GRI Professional, ACCO-CCP, FSA-Level 1) (Preferred)

KNOWLEDGE/ SKILLS/ ABILITIES

  • Language Skills:                         Fluent English
  • Mathematical Skills:                   Strong, attention to detail and accuracy
  • Reasoning Skills/Abilities:          Problem solving, planning, report writing, non-compliance findings, auditing to standards
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, and positive interpersonal skills
  • Required integrity, tact, character, and high professional standards

COMPUTER SKILLS

  • Required competency in using Office tools (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

LICENSES/ CERTIFICATIONS

  • Required valid US passport and driver’s license with the ability to travel in US and Canada
  • Preferred ESG/sustainability credential (ISSP-SAP or SEP, GRI Professional, ACCO-CCP, FSA-Level 1)

TRAVEL

  • Travels up to 40% of the time, domestically in US and Canada.
