SGS Australia has an exciting opportunity for an experienced, capable and dedicated Management Accountant to join our Finance team at Perth-WA

Job Description

This newly created role in the finance function will support the SGS management accounting team, responsible for month-end & capex reporting, detailed review and analysis of financial information, preparation of budget and forecast models and process improvement.

Key accountability's will include:

  • Preparation of month end accounting procedures and analysis of business results.
  • Communicate financial data for use by stakeholders, both internal and external to Finance.
  • Budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis for operating results and capital expenditure.
  • Preparation of capital expenditure applications, including discounted cash flow calculations and business case analysis.
  • Contributing to finance team projects and process improvements.
  • Management of the balance sheet, including general ledger reconciliations.
  • Assist with modelling and pricing for business tenders and contract renewals.
  • Support with ad hoc reporting and analysis as required.

Qualifications

As the successful candidate you will have:

  • Bachelor Degree in Commerce, majoring in Accounting.
  • Chartered Accountant or Certified Practicing Accountant (or studying towards this qualification).
  • Previous experience in a similar position, with comprehensive working knowledge of general finance practices and processes.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel).
  • Experience with finance ERP systems would be preferred.
