Job Description

  • Under general supervision, act as a liaison between clients and the laboratory to help deliver good service and scope future work as needed. Prepare and submit quotes for routine work.
  • Work with clients and the technical laboratory to scope work for proposal. Collaborate with clients to help ensure service is being delivered and provide follow up as needed. 
  • Upon request give clients sample information and coordinate technical support and advice where needed to maintain high customer satisfaction.
  • For all standard pricelist jobs respond to enquiries (phone, Web, e-mail enquiries) ensure information is provided to exceed client expectations. All client enquiries to be recorded in request tracking tool as appropriate.
  • Initiate process to setup new accounts and credit checks with Admin
  • Be aware of priority clients and priority requests from business development team
  • Update clients on delays in testing and provide routine TAT communications for clients.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Pharmacy, Biotechnology, Biology, Chemistry or related science
  • 1+ years’ experience working as a scientist in a lab environment or equivalent – preferred.
  • 1 – 2 years’ experience in a customer service position – preferred.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, customer relation, and interpersonal skills
  • Self-starter with entrepreneurial attitude
  • The incumbent must be capable of multi-tasking in order to meet the required sample turn-around time and client satisfaction while working together with the Laboratory Managers on a regular basis
  • Must be able to read, understand and follow work instructions in a safe, accurate and timely manner.
  • Candidates must be proficient in using various types of computer software (Word, Excel. PowerPoint & Outlook).
  • Candidates must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills including grammar and composition.
