Job Description

  • Ensure all equipment is calibrated, qualified according to SOPs;
  • Label equipment with the latest calibration/maintenance labels;
  • Coordinate external contractors and internal stakeholders for calibrations, repair and maintenance as per schedule;
  • Maintain reference standards, equipment database, calibration and preventive maintenance schedule and calibration/validation records;
  • Responsible for the qualification and maintenance of the Environmental Monitoring System and chambers;
  • Document all equipment Out of Tolerance and assist the Manager in the equipment failure investigations as per latest SOP. Issue a deviation number;
  • Prepare equipment qualification protocols and reports;

Qualifications

  • Education:  Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry and or in Biological Sciences or equivalent in experience or training.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 to 5 years previous laboratory equipment control experience or laboratory experience with strong understanding of laboratory equipment calibration/PM and qualification’s regulatory requirements;
  • Experience working with HPLC/GC
  • Comfortable with sophisticated LIMS IT System;
  • ASQ Certification as a Calibration technician is an asset
  • Ability to troubleshoot or diagnose equipment problems as needed to minimize down time alternatively ask Subject Matter Expert;
  • Candidates must be proficient in using various types of computer software (Word, Excel. PowerPoint & Outlook);
  • Proven ability to manage and coordinate multiple projects in a fast-paced, highly professional environment
