Network Operations Center Supervisor
Primary Responsibilities
§ Create, update and close tickets using the SGS defined Ticketing Systems.
§ Create and maintain Asset Management and inventory of all network devices being supported by the team.
§ Network management and assistance (LAN, WAN, and Wireless).
§ Network Management System
§ SSL-VPN Management and Support.
§ Zscaler Management and Support.
§ SDWAN Management, but not limited to design, implementation and support of SDWANinfrastructure.
§ Firewall assistance.
§ Management of Network Monitoring Systems.
Specific Responsibilities
§ Provides intermediate to advanced level troubleshooting in network related issues. Able to understand and determine the different routing protocols being used.
§ Provides intermediate to advanced analysis of network-related issues.
§ Analyzes and understands the issues involved in administering and maintaining corporate LAN and WAN.
§ Administration, support, and intermediate to advanced troubleshooting of the SGS SDWAN infrastructure.
§ Diagnose network problems related to SDWAN infrastructure and provides solution and recommendation to other SGS country’s local IT representatives.
§ Assists in configuration, implementation and management of Cisco, Aruba and Aerohive/Extreme Networks wireless devices.
§ Administration, maintenance, and advanced troubleshooting for wireless issues.
§ Configuration, administration, maintenance of SSL VPN appliance and advanced troubleshooting for SSL-VPN issues.
§ Interacts with third party vendors and/or operational representatives to resolve and escalate network-related issues.
§ Responds to all Incident calls/emails and enters work orders into ticketing system.
§ Complies with the SGS existing relevant Quality Management Systems.
§ Assists in administering and maintaining local and web-based versions of tracking software such as SharePoint and other inventory files.
§ Assists with the inventory management of NOC-managed/monitored network equipment.
§ Administration and maintenance of Network monitoring system such as SolarWinds.
§ Provides answers to internal clients in a timely manner as per defined Service Level Agreement.
Qualifications
Profile
§ 4-5 years IT and Engineering course graduate
o BS Computer Engineering
o BS Electronics and Communication Engineering
o BS Computer Science
o BS Information Technology
§ Minimum 5 years of experience
Required Skills
§ Helpdesk ticketing system (RT, ServiceNow or equivalent).
§ CCNA certified - routing and switching. (CCNP is a plus).
§ Intermediate to advanced expertise in different routing protocols, such as EIGRP, OSPF and BGP.
§ Intermediate Cisco, Aruba, Aerohive/Extreme Networks wireless skills.
§ At least one wireless Network certification (Cisco, Aruba, Aerohive/Extreme Networks preferred).
§ ITIL certification. (ITIL v3 and up) .
§ Experience in data and voice structured cabling.
§ Intermediate experience in assisting and designing wireless networks.
§ Intermediate experience in troubleshooting and diagnosing problems in campus LAN / WAN and Wireless environments.
§ Intermediate to advanced skills and knowledge with network devices but not limited to as routers, switches, firewall, access points, SSL VPN appliance and SDWAN devices.
§ Intermediate to advanced SSL VPN configuration and management skills (PulseSecure solution is a plus).
§ Intermediate to advanced Firewall configuration and management skills (Checkpoint solution is a plus).
§ Intermediate to advanced knowledge and skills with SDWAN environment (preferably Riverbed SteelConnect), including designing, implementing and supporting SDWAN solution.
§ Experience in handling Network Monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, CheckMK and Cacti.
§ Background in handling bandwidth optimization system such as SteelHead.
§ Experience in network security such as Firewall management, ACLs, and NAT.
§ Experience with Microsoft Servers and Office products, especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio
§ Experience in Linux.
§ Intermediate experience with management of Cloud solutions.
§ At least 5 years of working experience in the field of network and security.
§ Ability to communicate effectively dealing with internal and external customers and suppliers.
§ Ability to document complex technical issues effectively summarizing issues for a range of technical and business management.
§ Ability to manage and perform multiple activities at the same time.
§ Ability to work independently and within a team.
§ Prior experience with large to very large corporate computing environments to include multiple site locations.
