Our Wellington facility is looking for a Technician to fill the following position.

We are looking for a Technician to join our small team to fill a fulltime permanent role working in our NDT & Materials Engineering facility in Wellington.  This is a highly successful NZ and global business that has been well known in the marketplace since the launch in 1976.

Our client base is extensive, and we operate in all major industrial groups from dairy, power generation, oil and gas, chemical, pulp and paper process plants through to constructions, building and light engineering.  

Reporting to the Tank Inspector Manager for Wellington, the primary responsibility of the Technician’s role is to assist with carrying out materials testing and welding inspections in accordance with relevant codes and standards to ensure our client requirements are met.  This can be testing on a variety of products and components covering; metals, plastics, construction and building materials.  The team also provides consultancy services to assist our clients with their technical challenges and maintenance.

If you have the below qualities we are interested to hear from you:

• A tertiary qualification or equivalent experience ideally in the field of materials/ mechanical testing
• Any NDT Level 11 certifications such as: Radiographic, Ultrasonic, Magnetic particle testing
• Customer and client service focus
• A current driving licence and willingness to travel to customer sites around NZ  
• Able to use computers and technology
• Able to work well with others in a team environment
