Our Hamilton facility is looking to boost its talented team by adding a new position due to growth:

                                         NDT Technician & Data Analyst

Qualifications

We are looking for an experienced Technician to join our team working in our Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) welding inspection and consultancy services as well as provide data analysis work.

This role is located in Hamilton reporting to the Branch Supervisor. Closely working with the Operations Manager in Auckland which will require working from the Auckland (Mount Wellington) office at least twice a week.

This is a highly successful NZ and global business that has been well known in the marketplace since the industrial business of SGS NZ was launched in 1976. Our client base is impressive and wide ranging across the engineering, construction, oil and gas, agricultural industries and well-known businesses.

You will work with the team assisting with component inspections to new and existing assets such as structural welds, bridges, pressure equipment, pipework, tanks, and ships and transportation infrastructure. This will involve data to be collected from the team and daily analysis, reviewing and QC checks of the data with test reports to be prepared for the client.

If you have the below qualities we are interested to hear from you:

  • Tertiary education either a Diploma or Degree in Engineering
  • Some practical experience working in the NDT field or general inspection
  • Strong attention to detail and customer service focus
  • Can use computers and use of technology efficiently
  • Good at problem solving and analytical skills
  • Able to work well with others in a team environment
  • A current driving licence
