• The primary function is to manage the quality and operations of a sub group within
• Biopharmaceutical Services such as: Bioseparations or Molecular and Cellular Biology Department.
• Managing and motivating analysts, and scientists to complete assigned tasks on time and to a high quality standard.
• Resource allocation, oversight and leading
• Method development, validation and transfer of methods used for biopharmaceutical products or raw materials.
• Responsible for re-evaluating, optimising and troubleshooting methods as required by clients.
• Responsible for providing guidance to and overseeing analysts and scientists within the department regarding the performance of their activities related to department.
• QC approval for analytical methods, development/qualification/validation/transfer protocols and reports, SOP’s, OOS’s, CCR’s, and deviations pertaining to the department, and others as needed

• Education: MSc/PhD in scientifically related field.
• Experience: 5+ years with demonstrated ability to complete more complex role/duties
• This position will generally have up to 2-3 direct and 30-50 indirect reports.
• Extensive knowledge in a sub group activity within Biopharmaceutical Services such as: Molecular and Cellular Biology Department, Bio-Separation
• Demonstrated understanding of cGMP/GLP
• Ability to coordinate and manage a group and its workload.
• Capable of interacting with all levels of management, suppliers and clients
• Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills.
