Job Description

The Strategic Solutions Manager will prospect and sell SGS's portfolio of Life Sciences analytical testing and clinical research services to clients within the Pharma and Biotech industries. Working in partnership with our global laboratory network, you will provide our clients with best-in-class contract clinical research, quality control and lab testing services. This position will cover Europe.

You Will:

  • Prospect new clients and introduce the SGS Health Sciences services and solutions portfolio; 
  • Enhance worldwide revenue, profit and market share with major multinational accounts through both existing and new business;
  • Sell and lead the sales roll out of new strategic Health Sciences services or solutions;
  • Utilize the service offering provided by SGS's global network of Health Sciences laboratories to deliver our client's requirements; 
  • Define and maintain list of prospect clients, previously agreed with SGS Health Sciences corporate management;
  • Attend client meetings and conferences; 
  • Actively follow up on all proposals and conduct client presentations whenever required;
  • Develop RFIs and RFPs for contract negotiations and ensure that SGS is able to provide contracted and agreed services with our clients; 
  • Develop very close relationships with all appropriate SGS technical and laboratory teams. 

Qualifications

  • Educated to degree level in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry or a related subject ideally but we are open to other subjects as well;
  • Proven experience of selling Analytical Testing, Quality Control, Clinical Research services or products within the Pharma and Biotech areas;
  • Background of working within a CRO, CDMO or CDMO environment advantageous; 
  • Proven experience of prospecting for new business opportunities and hitting sales KPIs; 
  • Proven capability of working within a complex or matrix organisation, preferably on an international scale;
  • MS Office literate; 
  • Fluent in English. Other languages such as French or German would be an advantage.

This position can be based remotely in the following locations: Ireland, UK, Spain, Italy, France, Switzerland, Belgium, Germany or the Netherlands.
