Job Description
Reporting directly to the Business Manager, you will form part of a dynamic team and be responsibility for the following duties:
- Supporting the laboratory by delivering routine sample preparations of soil and water.
- Performing instrument calibration and maintenance in line with procedures and schedule
- Collaborating with the team to provide efficient and effective service delivery to clients and customers
- Adhering to safety practices to ensure correct use of laboratory equipment
- General housekeeping of the laboratory area and equipment
- Performing other duties as directed by the relevant manager
Qualifications
To be successful in this role you will have an understanding of QA/QC criteria and NATA accreditation requirements and will need to demonstrate:
- Appropriate tertiary qualification, TAFE certificate minimum
- Experience and knowledge within a laboratory (desirable)
- Proven technical knowledge and expertise
- Be a team player, yet able to work autonomously
- Highly driven and self-motivated who is able to lead in uncertainty
