Job Description

Working as a key member of our Natural Resources marketing team, you will develop our marketing strategy, plan and manage campaigns and content creation, support lead generation and select the best channels to publicize our messages to audiences within the Oil & Gas and Mineral industries. You will oversee the global marketing activity for our laboratory services (geochemistry and oil, gas and chemicals), metallurgy and consulting solutions as well as related services such as sustainability. 

More specifically, you will:

  • Partner with global and local cross-functional teams to develop an annual marketing strategy with specific objectives across the different segments;
  • Prepare and monitor the marketing budget on a monthly and annual basis and allocate funds wisely;
  • Plan, coordinate and lead the development of digital and print SGS Laboratory, Metallurgy and Consulting Marketing collateral to increase SGS brand awareness in the energy, minerals and metals industries;
  • Collaborate with the global team to define go-to-market marketing strategies for new service, product or entry into new geographic location;
  • Drive successful and sustainable product / services launch marketing campaigns;
  • Coordinate, develop consistent messaging and engaging content for the promotion of our services on various SGS channels such as the web, emailing, webinars and social media channels and other external channels;
  • Develop, experiment and implement with different organic and paid acquisition channels such as content creation, pay per click campaign, event management, publicity, social media, lead generation campaigns, articles and white papers or technical documents with input from our global and local team of experts;
  • Supervise and / or create graphics and other collateral such as ads, flyers, leaflets, brochures, posters and booth graphics and digital advertising banners;
  • Supervise social media channels and the visibility of the company using internal programs;
  • Build strong relationships with external stakeholders to ensure engaged networking and SGS participation in industry associations, at leading events and exhibitions and with industry news players / publications;
  • Coordinate and promote our presence to local and global events;
  • With the support of the marketing analyst, identify effectiveness and impact of current marketing initiatives and optimize accordingly;
  • Analyse market trends, customer projects and investments as well as the competitive landscape to adjust our strategic marketing plans and to help support lead generation for our business development and sales leads;
  • Generate market intelligence reports for the global team using platform such as Argus, S&P Global and Brandwatch.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years' worth of Marketing experience and with a recognized Marketing qualification;
  • Experience and good knowledge of the Minerals, Mining or Energy industries beneficial; 
  • Proven experience of developing and implementing Digital Marketing campaigns and strategies;
  • Familiar with marketing tools such as Canva and social media platforms such as LinkedIn;
  • Knowledge and understanding of Customer Relationship Management Systems;
  • Prior international exposure or working in a multi-cultural environment managing international projects.
