Job Description

Responsibilities will include, however are not limited to:

  • Planning and conducting aviation audits and assessing operator safety for SGS Aviation clients.
  • Managing aviation projects for clients.
  • Providing technical and commercial aviation advice.
  • Preparing written audit and project reports with recommendations for the conduct and continuous improvement of client aviation activities.
  • Following-up and closing out issues raised in the course of their duties.
  • Maintaining professional contact and effective working relationships with clients.
  • Maintaining professional qualifications through company training and participation in SGS Aviation seminars where possible.
  • Discharging the administrative duties required for the efficient conduct of their position.

Qualifications

As the successful candidate you will have:

  • Airline transport pilots license or flight engineer license or Aircraft maintenance engineer license.
  • Aviation advisors will ideally have 15 years’ experience in the aviation industry including experience relevant to SGS Aviation’s activities.
  • Successful completion of a quality/safety (ISO approved) lead auditor course.
  • A solid understanding of CASA and ICAO regulations.
  • Experience in auditing aircraft operators (fixed or rotary wing), and inspecting aerodromes and offshore helidecks.
  • Advisors will on occasions be travelling offshore so a valid BOSIET training certificate will be required.
  • Holding BARS auditor qualifications/accreditation will be highly regarded.
