Our Mount Wellington facility is currently on the lookout for a professional to join its talented team by filling a specialist role:

                                                   QA/QC Engineer

We are looking for a specialist to join our Materials team to fill a fulltime permanent role working in our NDT & Materials Engineering facility in Auckland.  This is a highly successful NZ and global business that has been well known in the marketplace since the launch in 1976.

Our client base is extensive, and we operate in all major industrial groups from dairy, power generation, oil and gas, chemical, pulp and paper process plants through to constructions, building and light engineering.  

You will report to the Operations Manager with the primary responsibility of this varied role is to provide quality assurance testing, inspection and auditing services in light and heavy industry for clients during fabrication and construction projects.

This role also provides consultancy services to assist our clients with their technical challenges and maintenance.

  • Very strong practical work experience in the industrial environment.
  • It is beneficial to have welding inspector certification.
  • A tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in engineering
  • Experience in auditing is also beneficial.
  • Customer and client service focus.
  • A current driving licence and willingness to travel to customer sites around NZ and at times overseas. 
  • Comfortable in using computers and technology.
  • Able to work well with others in a team environment 
  • Strong focus in health and safety prevention and compliance.

Qualifications

Additional Information

We need a detail-orientated professional who can also assist with the development and implementation of inspection activities, detection and resolution of problems to contribute to successful delivery of outcomes for our clients.

We are looking for someone who has a passion for continuous improvement and enjoys working with and sharing ideas with the team. Ability to speak Mandarin to help assist with our overseas clients would be advantageous.
