PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ticketing Systems
  • Inventory
  • Network assistance (LAN and WLAN)
  • Network Management System
  • SSL-VPN assistance
  • Zscaler
  • SDWAN
  • Firewall assistance
  • Management of Network Monitoring Tools

 

 

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides intermediate level troubleshooting in network-related issues.
  • Provides medium level analysis to network-related issues
  • Understands the issues involved in administering and maintaining corporate LAN and WAN
  • Performs level 1 to level 2 troubleshooting of wireless AP and controllers.
  • Performs level 1 to level 2 troubleshooting of SSL VPN servers.
  • Performs level 1 to level 2 troubleshooting of Network firewall.
  • Performs level 1 to level 2 troubleshooting of wireless AP and controllers.
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge with SGS SDWAN troubleshooting
  • Answer all trouble calls/emails issues and enters work orders into our tracking software. (Ticket creation and escalation).
  • Interacts with internal and external clients to resolve intermediate to difficult help desk issues; communicates with internal clients in a professional manner maintaining confidentiality.
  • Provides answers to internal clients in a timely manner.
  • Monitoring/escalation of network management system.
  • Monitoring/escalation of bandwidth optimization system.

Qualifications

PROFILE

  • 4-5 years IT and Engineering course graduate
  • BS Computer Engineering
  • BS Electronics and Communication Engineering
  • BS Computer Science
  • BS Information Technology
  • Minimum 5 years of experience

 

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Must have experience in handling ticketing system (ServiceNow).
  • Familiarity with SLA.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and diagnosing problems LAN environments.
  • Data and voice structured cabling
  • Cisco (CCNA equivalent skills) routing and switching skills.
  • Basic skill in wireless networks (Extreme Networks, Aruba, Cisco/Meraki).
  • Ability to manage and perform multiple activities at same time. 
  • Ability to work separately and within a team.
  • Basic skills in SSL VPN configuration and management.
  • Basic knowledge with SDWAN technology.
  • Basic Firewall configuration skills.
  • At least 5 years working experience in the field of network and security.
  • Ability to communicate effectively dealing with internal and external customers and suppliers.
  • Ability to document complex technical issues effectively summarizing issues for a range of technical and business management.
  • Experience troubleshooting and diagnosing problems in campus LAN / WAN and wireless environments.
  • Ability to work separately and within a team.
  • Experience with Microsoft Servers and Office products, especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio
  • Network Management System skills.
