• Conducting finished product seafood quality inspections
• Random sampling of finished product quality against a pre-determined standard and recording findings and any non-conformances to the standard.
• Visually inspecting seafood for quality defects against a predetermined standard and documenting the details of your observations and findings.
• Communicating findings articulately so that they can be shared with the client requesting the inspection.

• Able to work independently and make decisions.
• Able to clearly identify and explain visual findings.
• Able to read and write in English.
• Knowledge or experience in seafood industry an asset
• Understanding or experience in quality assurance or quality control an asset.

Working conditions

• Available days or evenings.
• Cold environment
• Standing and walking for long periods of time
• Frequent bending
• Able to lift between 10-15 lbs.
• Hearing protection may be required
• Steel toe shoes required

• This position requires you to have a valid driver’s license along with a vehicle to transport samples.
