You will be autonomous and hands on in this role. Some of your key responsibilities will include:

• Represent SGS in a positive and professional light
• Conduct water quality sampling and field analysis across client sites
• Maintain and calibrate field equipment
• Carry out, evaluate and act on quality control checks
• Prepare and arrange delivery of samples and supplies to the laboratory
• Maintain and build high valued relationships with all clients

We are looking for a motivated and hands on team member who can make this position their own and develop within the Environment, Health and Safety business.
You will have the ability to work in a variety of environments (main roads, different weather elements, locations etc). Ideally you will be able to demonstrate the following:

• Qualifications in Environmental or Microbiology fields
• Previous experience in a laboratory environment or field sampling role (desirable)
• Valid and Current Australian full drivers’ licence
• Have an understanding of measurement and testing techniques related to environmental field sampling
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients
• Able to comprehend and provide feedback on technical issues
• Capable of setting up and operating sampling equipment
• Analytical and detailed in the assessment of environmental conditions risks and quality assurance results
