Job Description

  • Be responsible for the local IT team, its capacity, capability and budget while providing ongoing advice to the local management leadership for most suitable IT evolutions, their business cases and a high standard of effective service delivery.
  • Learn the company’s regional and global IT strategy pillars, priorities and projects while providing feedback and advice to international leaders to maximize success and standardization goals.
  • Be responsible for effective IT project management, both for the IT department’s initiatives and where local IT is a key stakeholder for initiatives from local operations.
  • Lead pro-actively on topics of local cybersecurity, IT risk and business continuity planning for the IT operations and local systems supporting the operations, as well as acquired entities.
  • Communicate with stakeholders of all levels with confidence in presenting to non-technical and technical management, and with other departments with strong interest in digital evolution.
  • A demonstrable background leading IT teams in a multi-national and translating IT and business strategy into actions for the local level.  Proven history with IT department due diligence or M&A for IT desirable.
  • A history of technical skills and strong market awareness of Microsoft technologies, cloud and larger WAN is desirable.

Qualifications

  • Degree in computer science, Information Technology or equivalent.
  • 10 -15 years of experience in IT service multi-national organizations.
  • Good business acumen with technical know-how.
  • Strong experience in project management lifecycle, desirable: PMP or PRINCE2 certification.
  • Information Security: desirable one of: CGEIT, CISM, CISA, ISO 27001 Lead Auditor certification - or multiple years working in an IT leadership role where a cybersecurity framework (eg: ISO 27001 / NIST / COBIT / similar) was part of the operations.
  • IT Service Management: desirable: ITIL Foundation certification (this is a common certification at all levels, so needs to be combined with the above)
  • Familiar with concepts and implementations of infrastructure major application software.
  • Experience with computer hardware, operating systems, networking/WAN, end user equipment and business application technologies.
