Job Description

The Facility Manager is responsible for the management of the upkeep and maintenance of the building.  The person will monitor the needs for a safe and efficient facility and will direct resources to address issues or resolve them directly.

  • Maintains troubleshoots and performs preventative basic maintenance and minor repairs of office equipment, machinery, and other facilities-related equipment.
  • Makes repairs to the facility, including simple plumbing, painting, and other minor mechanical repairs
  • Secures and oversees external service providers as may be required from time to time for additional repairs or enhancements
  • Oversees the teams that clean the building
  • Conducts periodic walkthroughs of the building to assure the equipment and related fixtures are performing safely, effectively, and efficiently.
  • Supervise external contractors performing maintenance and/or repairs
  • Adheres to internal standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required:

  • High School degree or equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience in transferable experience in a similar environment
  • Language Skills: English Basic level of knowledge required
  • Mathematical Skills: Basic level preferred
  • Reasoning Skills/Abilities: Basic level required
  • Computer Skills: MS Office Suite – Basic user proficiency preferred
  • Ability to read and follow instructions for cleaning solutions and equipment maintenance / basic repairs
  • Ability to work in team environment and maintain professional behavior
  • Ability to follow instructions independently, with little or no supervision
  • Basic communication skills
  • Attention to detail
