Job Description

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary requirement of this role is to perform operator duties relating to tanker loading and discharge operations, terminal activities and bunkering operations as requested or directed.

  SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform Operator duties relating to tank ship loading and tank ship discharges.
  • Perform Operator duties relating to pipeline and road tanker bunkering operations
  • To perform Operator duties relating to 3rd party tank farm operations relevant to your training and position.
  • To perform other work duties relevant to your training and position

  REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Be physically capable of carrying out the duties required of this role, including, but not limited to; manual handling and lifting, climbing bulk storage tanks, walking pipeline routes, moving and joining cargo hoses.
  • Demonstrate ability in the effective operation of VHF and UHF radios.  
  • Hold a current Class 1 New Zealand Drivers Licence and have own transport to be able to travel to and from place/s of work.
  • Have knowledge of and experience in a related industry an advantage.
  • Have baseline set of computer skills an advantage.
  • Demonstrate ability to supervise work activities, work areas and other personnel.
