Job Description

  • Job Title: Bid Coordinator/Manager
  • Job Type: Permanent
  • Hours: 37.5 per week
  • Job Location: Home Based - North West
  • Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 based on experience, plus you’ll benefit from a commission / sales bonus scheme, private health cover, a contributory pension scheme and life cover.

As Bid Coordinator you’ll be responsible for coordinating tender responses, mainly in the public sector, but with some activities in the private sector

Key Accountabilities;

  • Responsible for managing and monitoring tender portals
  • Identifying tender / bid / quote opportunities across SGS diverse service portfolio
  • Evaluating opportunities, matching them to SGS services or competencies
  • Writing and editing bid and proposal content
  • Maintenance of bid library
  • Interfacing with technical experts within SGS to gather and collate information
  • Contacting client procurement departments; engaging in the procurement process
  • Collating bid content and preparing response documents
  • Ensuring tender responses are compliant, well presented and meet submission timescales
  • Ensuring the tender authorisation process, review and bid gateways are adhered to
  • Coordinating clients’ and stakeholders’ queries before, during and after the bid

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you’ll need experience of marketing/business development with a track record of writing tender responses from scratch; at times gathering and editing other contributors work, including technical support from technical experts.

You’ll be highly results focused and commercially aware, you’ll need to think creatively and will have the ability to understand client requirements and find solutions. 

The successful candidate will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of management, consultants and clients.

In addition to the above you’ll also need to demonstrate the following;

  • Experience in the tender and bid procurement process
  • Writing bespoke tender responses, at times gathering and editing other contributors work, including technical support from technical experts
  • Working on ‘unchartered’ tenders where the company has technical expertise, however not ‘off the shelf’ material to present to the client
  • Analytical thinking and content creation
  • Full driving licence for use in the UK
