Job Description
As the Coordinator you will schedule product inspections to be performed by SGS inspectors at third party locations around the country. You will be responsible for coordinating with inspection sites, assigns appropriate resources to perform the inspections, reviews and sends inspection instructions to the Inspector and the site, reviews inspection reports for correct information and accuracy, completes data entry.
- Review inspection jobs that have been assigned on a daily basis in the Work in Progress (WIP) report and ensure that each inspection site has been contacted to set up an inspection date.
- Review inspection reports and photographs received from inspectors for correctness and accuracy.
- Follow-up with inspectors to ensure that inspection reports are not late.
- Consolidate information provided by inspectors and assure registration of the results in database. Any potential risk must be reported to Inspection Center Team Leader for evaluation.
- Complete inspection reporting within allowed time frame.
- Assign the optimal inspection resource to each inspection to minimize execution costs.
- Provide clients with feedback in order to solve operational problems related to inspection scheduling or execution.
- Adheres to internal standards, policies and procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- 3-5 years of experience in role that exposes the candidate to import/export operations, product quality management (working under quality systems), inspections
Licenses / Certifications
- Internal training required
