Job Description

As the Sr. Strategic Sourcing Manager, you will lead strategic sourcing of multiple sourcing categories mostly across the US and Canada. The responsibilities include: source selection, contract negotiations and administration of complex multi-million-dollar contracts. You will perform internal spend analysis, prepare bid packages, propose analysis and evaluation, contract provision negotiation, supplier selection/recommendation, contract award and administration.

  • Acts as the regional Relationship Manager for key Business Units and aligns procurement goals with Business Unit objectives.
  • Establishes and maintains regional business partner relationships with key stakeholders to ensure deep understanding of needs and strategies.
  • Manages the strategic sourcing of professional services and revenue generating contractor services across multiple business lines; performs the end-to-end sourcing and stakeholder engagement process.
  • Develops and drives regional category strategies including market assessment, internal and external influences, pricing drivers etc.
  • Partners, interfaces, and builds relationships with internal customers to understand their requirements for products and services. 
  • Drafts, negotiates, develops and executes supplier agreements, statements of work, service level agreements, and RFx documents with the objective of creating strategic business opportunities and savings for the organization.
  • Builds and maintains strategic supplier relationships to help reduce costs and eliminate inefficiencies.
  • Utilizes multi-step sourcing to gather requirements, launch RFx initiatives, evaluate and analyze results, and communicate recommendations to all levels of the organization and external supply base. 
  • Evaluates and manipulates supplier spend data to assess savings opportunities and develop category strategies.
  • Utilizes legal and risk management knowledge to minimize contractual risk, obtain executive signatures, and avoid contractual and/or commitment issues.
  • Ensures that suppliers and service providers comply with all service level agreements and regulatory requirements for the products and/or services that they provide. 
  • Reviews specifications and Capital Expense Requests to understand internal client needs, budgetary requirements, and savings opportunities meeting project deliverables and timelines. 
  • Provides strategic sourcing support for special projects as assigned.
  • Conducts qualitative and quantitative supplier analyses and formulates appropriate recommendations. 
  • Exercises ethical business practices and applies knowledge of legal requirements.
  • Generates revenue through productivity initiatives, rebates, and contract signing bonuses.
  • Resolve issues between suppliers and internal clients.
  • Develops and maintains working relationships with suppliers to stay current on new products, services, trends and technology, developing strong product category knowledge and knowledge of supplier capabilities.
  • Contributes to the development of business system initiatives and enhancements.
  • Adheres to internal standards, policies and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Procurement and Supply Management, or Business Administration, or in a related discipline AND
  • 10+ years of Strategic Sourcing experience

Preferred:

  • Concentration in Professional Services, including HR, Legal, etc. Experience working in E-Sourcing tool, Oracle iProcurement.
  • Experience of working with Vendor Managed Systems (VMS) e.g. (Beeline, Fieldglass etc.)
  • Experience of rolling out VMS tools regionally/globally.

Licenses / Certifications

  • Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) certification preferred.
