Job Description

The Brand Strategy Specialist will work in conjunction with US Brand Strategy Manager, operations, and other client services staff to coordinate orders from the original request to receipt and delivery, which includes reviewing product request against existing protocols if any, documenting accurate job specifications, getting the order into the production schedule and keeping the customer informed of project status.

  • Liaise with assigned clients to coordinate project goals and timelines defined in conjunction with the client, lab operations, and US Brand Strategy Manager. 
  • Research local and global labs capabilities for the client requested services 
  • Ensure the alignment and integration of services and operational deliveries into global strategic customer’s portfolio assigned to him/her.
  • Create service offer agreements to assigned clients as required
  • Meet assigned goals and key performance indicators (KPI) 
  • Assist in addressing customer questions and creating quotations/service offer agreements for services.
  • Develop, communicate, and maintain all program documentation:
  • Non-disclosure agreement (NDA), Professional services agreement (PSA) and associated Scope of work (SOW) and Instructions
  • SOP’s / Protocols / Program Manuals
  • Submission Request Forms
  • Maintain and build collaborative client relationships within respective client global account staff and within the global operations group.
  • Monitor ongoing technological and regulatory changes in order to define and communicate compliance, safety and quality testing approaches relating to the full range of client product offerings (Toys, Children’s Products, Apparel/Softlines, Home Textiles, Furniture, Hardlines, Cosmetics, Adult-Use Items, Food, etc).
  • Liaise between client / technical/ operations teams regarding: 
  1. SOP compliance. 
  2. Effective and efficient execution of services.
  3. Communication of client expectations to a local lab and global coordinators.  
  4. Prompt response to client inquiries and complaints. 
  5. Lab location capabilities
  • Coordinate vendor seminars overseas with executing affiliates as needed.  
  • Prepare service offers and quotations on a daily basis as requested by the US Brand Strategy account management team, some may require research with labs. 
  • Prepare proposals in conjunction with US Brand Strategy Manager when needed.
  • Update current client information in SharePoint/Teams sites. 
  • Maintain and manage specific client pricing. Maintain revenue and highlight tracking. 
  • Other duties assigned as necessary in response to business needs.
  • Adheres to internal standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

  • Associates Degree in Business required
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or other related field preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • International business exposure in imported consumer products. 
  • Strong written and spoken English skills, other languages will be an advantage. 
  • Persuasive, diplomatic, but always to the point and with attention to detail.
  • Hands-on, open-minded, proactive team player that can be relied upon to do whatever is necessary to fulfill assigned responsibilities. 
  • Takes initiative to take on tasks that need to be done without waiting to be asked
  • Proficient in Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Teams and Outlook). 
  • Ability to establish effective working and team relationships with internal and external staff in a collaborative manner 
  • Highly motivated, dependable, and detail oriented. 
  • Strong communication and Good project and time management skills.
  • Creative thinking skills to develop innovative solutions to solve customer requirements and expectations 
  • Ability to interface with quality control and supply chain as well as other customer structures. 
  • Capable of building trust, value others and communicate effectively. 
  • Customer focused, high integrity, excellent work ethic
  • Self managed and responsible to project and time management 
  • Strong sense of urgency and willing to work under client deadlines and timelines. 
  • Knowledge of US Federal, State and International regulations governing a wide variety of consumer products.
  • Experience in a testing lab environment and/or audit/inspection capacity a plus.
