Job Description

The Global Head Software Delivery Services will be responsible for the output of our 4 IT Software delivery centers in Madrid, Manila, Dublin and Lima. Working as a core member of our corporate IT team, you will ensure that in-house developed Software applications will be delivered in a timely manner to stakeholders within the SGS network. 

You Will:

  • Supervise the overall management of service requests and resource allocations needed to deliver software solutions;
  • Be responsible for delivery planning across projects to guarantee the optimal use of resources;
  • Provide leadership and guidance to our global software delivery team;
  • Monitor the performance and quality of services delivered locally;
  • Resolve escalated issues according to the applicable governance escalation procedures;
  • Work in close relationship with IT Business Managers to manage their expectations and measure their satisfaction;
  • Manage the relationship with local suppliers and participate in the governance of global suppliers;
  • Implement SGS’ strategy and key initiatives;
  • Meet regularly with the other Heads of IT Service to increase the level of engagement and ensure great customer service.

Qualifications

  • High Level Degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related subject;         
  • Minimum 7 years experience in team and project management in a high technology or Internet-based software development environment; 
  • Minimum 7 years experience in leading IT delivery services in an international environment; 
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate technical information to a non technical audience; 
  • Strong understanding of the Application Lifecycle Management process; 
  • Solid experience in managing relationship with external suppliers; 
  • Good knowledge in Agile development methodology;
  • Fluent in English. Other languages such as Spanish are beneficial. 

Additional Information

This position will be based at our IT Centre of Excellence in Madrid.
