Job Description

  • The Senior Associate- Accounting is responsible for the entire Accounting process and all related activities except the review and masters all aspects of fund accounting.

  • The CA2 communicates with clients on a day/day basis concerning ongoing work.

  • When to escalate and know when to ask for help is something the CA2 knows perfectly well.

  • The CA2 ensures that work that can be handled by the process support pool is handed over but in such a way that instructions are clear and quality of work is warranted as per the processes defined.

  • OTIF is a key deliverable for the entire delivery functions. The CA2 is responsible for maintaining the status of all work as per client requirements, reporting to the Principal in the event that any tasks cannot be executed as scheduled.

  • Quality is a sine qua non for all work that is to be submitted to clients. The CA2 is responsible for ensuring that work that is submitted to clients contains no defects. Knowing what you are not able to and when you need help or another pair of eyes is one of the key distinguishing factors between CA2 and more junior team members.

  • The CA2 is able to make recommendations about how to improve work in both quality and efficiency as well as client relationship and contacts.

  • The CA2 is a fully qualified Accountant and aims at becoming a fully qualified reviewer (Associate Principal) as quickly as possible.

  • The CA2 is responsible for tracking progress of his/her PDP (personal development and training plan). Any disruption or anything else which may cause delay or suboptimal effectiveness of the FA2 in performing his/her job and career development is to be flagged immediately to the Principal.

  • The CA2 trains more junior colleagues on the job and will, upon instruction of the principal, be reviewing certain assignments as conducted by junior team members.

  • The CA2 performs all accounting activities (Annual Accounts, Periodic Accounts, Prepare Audits, Prepare data for Tax declarations).

  • Flag client issues before they become a complaint.

Qualifications

  • Degree holder or partly qualified ACCA/ACA

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role
