Job Description

The Associate-Fund Administration (FCA1) is the entry level. The FCA1 combines learning and delivering seamlessly.  Tasks and process elements they have been trained and qualified for, they can perform without supervision. Tasks and process steps that they have not qualified for are closely supervised and the level of supervision is agreed with the Principal.

For tasks and process steps the FCA1 qualified for he/she may communicate independently with clients on routine operational matters and is able to resolve issues that have no immediate impact on the client relationship.

The FCA1 works closely with the Principal (linked to a client) who reviews the work as performed.  The FCA1 has two reporting relationships:

  • To Delivery Team Manager (task assignment / planning of work / governance / people matters)

  • To Principal (content and quality of work / client contacts and relationship / core business processes)

  • The FCA1 is performs activities for the entire Fund Secretarial and Legal process and all related activities except the review.

  • The FCA1 communicates with clients on a day/day basis concerning ongoing work.

  • The FCA1 escalates or asks for help whenever in doubt. The FCA1 knows when to do so without being disruptive.  Every escalation / asking for help moment is to be considered a training moment.

  • OTIF is a key deliverable for the entire delivery functions. The FCA1 is responsible for maintaining the status of all work in the planning system, reporting to the Team Manager in the event that the plan cannot be executed as scheduled, signals to the Team Manager and Planning manager (CSM) inaccuracies in planning assumptions.

  • Quality is a sine qua non for all work that is to be submitted to clients. The FCA1 is responsible for ensuring that work that is submitted to clients contains no defects. All work the FCA1 produces is reviewed by a senior team member.

  • The FCA1 is responsible for becoming a fully qualified Fund Administrator as quickly as possible.

  • The FCA1 is responsible for tracking progress of his/her PDP (personal development and training plan). Any disruption or anything else which may cause delay or suboptimal effectiveness of the FCA1 in performing his/her job and career development is to be flagged immediately to the Team People Manager.




  • Degree holder or partly qualified ICSA

  • 0 to 2 years of experience

  • Experience in a similar role would be an advantage
