Job Description

You will handle a portfolio of Funds clients (Private Equity and Hedge Funds with master/feeder, LPs and LLPS structures) with varying level of complexity (with adequate supervision from seniors) and to carry out day-to-day work as well as work delegated to our back office in Mauritius, including:

  • maintaining proper books of accounts, NAV records on the relevant accounting system
  • Liaison with clients stakeholders, as necessary
  • Perform due diligence tasks and ensure compliance of files with relevant laws of Singapore and compliance with internal control procedures such as regular Compliance Review Certification, Independent Compliance Review, etc. and perform ongoing due diligence requirements for new/existing clients and liaising with relevant parties for obtaining same
  • Records keeping and records managements (both on file and the SGG’s system) as per the SGG’s internal policies such filing, scanning of Statutory Files and updating of information on relevant system, to ensure and/or monitor that proper filing, scanning of statutory files and updating of information on system (including eFront/PAXUS/ANTrance/any other system in place) are being done.
  • Ensure high client satisfaction and work with seniors to deepen the relationship
  • To ensuring that all entities are in compliance with all relevant laws, licensing conditions, regulations and guidelines.
  • To adhere to internal controls, procedures, processes and checks in meeting all client deliverables within strict deadlines and deliver according to clients SLAs/SLMs/Service Agreements/Administration Agreements and to perform any other related duties

Tasks will include

  • preparation and/or review and accurate and timely delivery of the following, in compliance with Internal and Regulatory policies and procedure:
  • accounts, NAV statements, financial statements and any other client deliverables;
  • Prompt finalization of audit processes within deadlines;
  • Financial statements are prepared, audited and filed within statutory deadlines;
  • GST, CPF, TDS and Annual Tax Returns and filed within prescribed deadlines;
  • NAV calculation, capital accounts and shareholders’ reporting;
  • monthly, quarterly, semi-annual accounting schedule and other relevant accounts;
  • maintaining proper books of accounts, NAV records on the relevant accounting system and other relevant accounts and maintenance of the accounting file;
  • monitoring operations of the account with institutions (Banks, Custodian, Brokers)
  • review of simple unaudited financial accounts and statutory financial statements
  • working on complex accounting issues with limited assistance of senior staff
  • To monitor trade orders, settlement, subscription documents and capital calls
  • To perform the checks and assist the Client Services Managers on releasing of capital calls, capital account statements and investor statements
  • Liaison with clients, auditors, regulatory authorities (such as ACRA, IRAS, MAS, MOM, Singapore Customs and IPOS etc.) and other stakeholders, as appropriate
  • Perform due diligence tasks and ensure compliance of files with relevant laws of Singapore and compliance with internal control procedures such as regular Compliance Review Certification, Independent Compliance Review, etc. and perform ongoing due diligence requirements for new/existing clients and liaising with relevant parties for obtaining same
  • To ensure that all entities are in compliance with all relevant laws, licensing conditions, regulations and guidelines.
  • To assist the setting up, upgrading and maintaining appropriate systems, controls, procedures and processes, in adherence with the relevant legislation, regulations and guidelines.
  • Client invoicing and prepare estimate billings every month.
  • Track collection of outstanding invoices and get involved in getting them on a timely manner.

 

Qualifications

 

  • We’re looking for passionate people, who wish to excel, both personally and for Clients;
  • You take ownership and have a natural drive for results;
  • Very good Fund accounting skills especially for Private Equity funds; a degree in Accounting and/or qualified ACCA and/or ACA.
  • Proficient in fund structures and requirements with focus on Cayman Islands and Singapore.
  • Excellent HF/PE/RE knowledge; experience with Fund Managers in Asia as well as knowledge/experience of the Fund Management business In Singapore and Hong Kong.  
  • Personal qualities of integrity, credibility and commitment to the mission and values of SGG Group.
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in Fund Administration.
  • Initiative, drive and enthusiasm with ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills and client focus.
  • Fully Fluent in English (knowing Mandarin as well would be a plus).
