Job Description
The Team
The Data Analyst – Marketing Technology reports to the Data Insights Manager - Marketing Technology, which is a graphically dispersed APAC-wide team of 14 members. It is important that this role establishes a strong connection with:
Internal Customer: Marketing, Data Services, AI & Ontology Team, BI/Reporting teams, Strategy and Product teams, Infrastructure teams (DBA, SysEng and DevOps), Development teams
External Customer: Databases housed outside of SEEK
About the role
The Data Analyst – Marketing technology is responsible for management of MarTech data asset, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and consistency of collected data through verification and reconciliation processes within the MarTech platforms. You will enable core Marketing activity making it critical that you advocate for the right data solutions that balance speed to market with long term maintainability, scalability, and security.
This is a pivotal role within our Marketing Technology team, responsible for the day-to-day management of the Marketing Technology data asset and the visualization of critical performance activity. You will work with data owners to ensure that the data is being used and managed according to SEEK's data governance policies. You will also help to resolve data quality issues and to improve, where possible, the overall quality of the data.
Responsibilities
- Perform solution and impact analysis, define implementation and validation approaches
- Analyze data and processes to define functional and technical requirements
- Collaborate closely with data engineers and analysts to identify, prioritize, and deliver impactful data-related features and improvements.
- Support testing and validation activities to ensure data quality and compliance
- Manage data-driven decision-making to support new and existing campaigns, optimization activity, enhanced
- segmentation and customer targeting
- Management of data contracts and associated documentation with upstream data sources across candidate, hirer, AIP’s, SKL, mobile and any new data sources
- Management of the data quality and efficiency for the bi-direction data feeds between SEEK’s Data Platform and:
- Salesforce Marketing Cloud
- Segments (Customer Data Platform, CDP),
- Qualtrics (APAC)
- keeping the lights on for the entire systems and minimising impact to platform performance.
- Adopt a range of data sources for analysis, from native platform analytics to 3rd party sources to visualize platform performance and business led Tableau dashboards.
- Drive continuous improvement in the data analyst process working with the Delivery lead to provide regular communicate progress, risks, and changes to data that will impact customers.
- Contribute to an environment of collaboration and continuous learning within the team.
Qualifications
Essential Skills and Experience
Experience
- Minimum 5+ years' experience working in a related field, with a focus on data extraction, analysis, data modelling, and statistical analysis
- A strong understanding of marketing campaign design, execution, and optimisation.
- The ability to enthusiastically advocate the use of available data to support customer requirements.
- Proven experience with data analysis, mapping, Python and SQL for data validation
- Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements and specifications
- Experience working with Data Warehouses, ETL processes, and large-scale data systems.
- Familiarity with AWS technologies (S3, Redshift) and cloud-based analytics platforms.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a structured and organized approach
- Significant experience Identifying, analysing and documenting source data and systems.
- Experience working in Agile delivery teams.
Other Qualification, Experience and Skills
- Tertiary qualification in Data Technology or a related field.
- Experience working within a remote team or as part of a distributed team.
- Experience in using tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
- Experience using data visualization tools like Tableau
- Exposure to the use or implementing Salesforce CRM or other Enterprise CRM Platforms.
