SEAKR is seeking a Software Engineering Intern who will perform the full life cycle (requirements, design, code, and test) for real-time embedded software.

This role will be responsible for developing real-time embedded software or test software in support of SEAKR's Processing Systems.  This software will target a variety of processors running the Linux operating system.

This role will coordinate and implement department and company level goals to accommodate efficient development, propagation, and maintenance of product line core and program specific capabilities and functionalities.

This role will require the development of test scripts used to demonstrate the capability of avionics units

As a Software Engineering Intern, the candidate will gain a better understanding of the software development lifecycle putting into practice techniques that are taught in during regular course work.  The software produced will run on actual SEAKR HW destined for a future launch.  As a result, the Software Engineering Intern will develop the foundations of good software development techniques and testing practices.

Specific work assignments can be tailored in order to develop the specific skill sets.

• Must be a rising Sophomore or higher currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.  Other majors will be considered if there is a demonstrated interest in learning software fundamentals.
• Ability to learn technologies quickly and independently
• Strong computer skills in a PC environment using various business software programs (spreadsheets, word-processing, and databases)
• Highly organized and detail oriented
• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication, follow-up, problem solving and creative thinking skills
• Demonstrated C or C++ development experience
• Experience with Linux development preferred but not required

Compensation: Base pay range is $25-28/hour depending on qualifications.
