Job Description

The Manager of Inventory Management is responsible for oversight of all activities related to property management.  The Manager is also responsible for management, supervision and mentoring of the Inventory/Property Administrators.  This is a full-time exempt position in which the work is performed under limited supervision by the Director of Production and is evaluated on results obtained.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Directs activities of inventory/property management group.  Property management includes receiving, storing, issuing, tracking, and shipping property of any nature. 
  • Provides daily supervision of Inventory/Property Administrators and Shipping and Receiving Clerk.  This includes training, direction, guidance, issue resolution, performance appraisals, and time card verification and approval.
  • Develops and maintains procedures and work instructions as required for inventory management functions.
  • Maintains full cognizance of FAR 45.0 and 52.245 for performance of contract property administration.
  • Conducts inventory audits on a periodic basis, as determined by contract requirements and/or department status.  
  • Reports Government/Customer Owned property on a monthly/quarterly/yearly basis as required by contract.
  • Establishes and maintains any unique inventory management or reporting systems that may be required by contract.
  • Responsible for overall property usage of electronic inventory management system.  When required, tests and implements any new system or system features.
  • Coordinates with other departments including quality, manufacturing, procurement, material planning, engineering, and program management in the definition of process improvements.  Resolves or delegates the resolution of property issues as they arise.
  • Maintains work order kitting schedule to assure that kits are available when needed. 
  • This is a full time in person role based out of our Centennial office location.  SEAKR works a 9/80 work week with every other Friday off.

Other Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Follows SEAKR rules and regulations as documented in the SEAKR Employee Handbook and applicable operating procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Duties:

  • Plans, organizes and oversees the work of Inventory/Property Administrators.
  • Reviews and evaluates performance, recommending salary increases and/or disciplinary action for direct reports.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skill & Ability

  • Knowledge of material management.
  • Knowledge of government property reporting requirements and government forms.
  • Knowledge of SEAKR procedures and work instructions.
  • Knowledge of electronics oriented technical English, spelling, punctuation, and grammar.
  • Knowledge of business English, spelling, punctuation, and grammar.
  • Knowledge of a variety of software applications including ERP databases, Microsoft Office and Adobe Writer.
  • Ability to prepare and maintain records and reports.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to establish good rapport with members of management and other employees.
  • Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.
  • Ability to work on more than one task at a time.
  • Ability to effectively train others on technical test methodologies.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure to meet tight deadlines.

Education or Formal Training:  (minimum level of education or formal training)

  • High School graduate or GED, preference for an undergraduate degree in business.

Experience:  (minimum level of experience)

  •  7+ experience in material management preferred in government property management.

 

 

 

 

Additional Information

Compensation: Base pay range is $65,000-100,000 depending on qualifications.  SEAKR has very rich medical, dental and vision insurance plans, along with a generous 401(k) retirement plan. In addition to base salary, employees are eligible for a year-end bonus. SEAKR offers a variety of paid leave, such as vacation, sick, bereavement, and FMLA.
