Job Description

Our company is seeking a highly skilled Desktop Support Level II technician to join our team. As a Desktop Support Level II technician, you will be responsible for providing technical support to our internal customers. The ideal candidate must have experience in support ticketing systems and possess strong technical skills in desktop support in a mixed OS environment

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide technical support to employees for desktop hardware, software, and network-related issues.
  2. Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, and peripherals
  3. Maintain inventory of workstation hardware and software.
  4. Maintain and update desktop operating systems and software
  5. Manage and resolve support tickets in a timely and efficient manner
  6. Collaborate with other IT teams to resolve issues and implement solutions
  7. Assist with the maintenance and administration of the desktop environment
  8. Provide excellent customer service and communication to end-users
  9. Provide training to employees on new desktop software and hardware.
  10. Maintain documentation of desktop hardware, software, and network configurations.

Qualifications

Required Skills:

  1. 2-3 years of experience in desktop support
  2. Experience with support ticketing systems
  3. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  4. Understanding of Active Directory and Group Policies
  5. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  6. Strong written and verbal communication
  7. Excellent customer service skills
  8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Desired Skills:

  1. Experience with RedHat Linux
  2. Knowledge of scripting languages such as Bash, DOS, PowerShell, Perl, and Python
  3. Familiarity with unattended installers and OS system imaging
  4. CompTIA Certifications including A+, Security+, Linux+
  5. Experience with Remote Support Tools ( Remote Assistance, Bomgar )

Additional Information

Compensation: Base pay range is $22-$26/hour, depending on qualifications. SEAKR has very rich medical, dental and vision insurance plans, along with a generous 401(k) retirement plan. In addition to base salary, employees are eligible for a year-end bonus. SEAKR offers a variety of paid leave, such as vacation, sick, bereavement, and FMLA.
