Job Description

Seeking a Cyber Security Engineer with a desire to work on leading edge space-based avionics embedded software and systems.  This position has a specific emphasis on the software security implementations which ensure mission system integrity and ultimately mission success. Candidates should have a strong background in both software development and cybersecurity. A highly qualified candidate will have experience with implementing RMF solutions, hardening open source software, secure boot, and key management.

Active DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret clearance is required.

Responsibilities

  • Planning, Implementation, Documentation, and Verification of software security solutions on SEAKR embedded processor systems. 
  • Assist in designing continuous monitoring of security critical components
  • Collaboration with software teams to ensure seamless integration of security implementations into reusable code bases
  • Lead and execute testing of embedded system software security components (test planning)
  • Lead or assist in corresponding certification or security analysis of systems

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in computer science or a related discipline
  • Strong C/C++ programming skills with strong debugging and troubleshooting skills
  • Linux security concepts, SELinux configuration, and/or kernel hardening
  • ARM platform security, threat models, and mitigation techniques
  • Symmetric and asymmetric algorithms (RSA, DES, AES, SHA-1, other)
  • Cryptographic key generation, distribution, application
  • ARM Trusted Firmware Architecture and TrustZone technology
  • CVE Tracking and analysis
  • Static and Dynamic Software Analysis Tools, Coverity, Fortify, or other
  • Experience with NSA Type 1/Type 2 certification and approval
  • Cross domain guard
  • Network security
  • Experience with the RMF certification
  • Link Encryption, HAIPE, Link16, MADL
  • Red/Black data communication

Additional Requirements

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills is a must
  • Experience with requirements management tools
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance strongly preferred
  • Required: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Computer Science

Additional Information

Compensation: Base pay range is $110,000-160,000 depending on qualifications. SEAKR has very rich medical, dental and vision insurance plans, along with a generous 401(k) retirement plan. In addition to base salary, employees are eligible for a year-end bonus. SEAKR offers a variety of paid leave, such as vacation, sick, bereavement, and FMLA.
