Job Description

Seeking a strong skilled Senior Staff Accountant who will work independently and under the direction of the Director of Accounting. The candidate must have the ability to reconcile all balance sheet and income statement accounts.  The candidate must have good organizational skills and be able to manage multiple projects and deadlines.  The candidate must be able to communicate effectively and maintain productive working relationships.  The ability to think critically, analyze problem, and propose solutions is required.  Must know generally accepted accounting principles and how to apply them.

Qualifications

 Essential Responsibilities

  • Manages employee information in the ERP system; such as, creating new employees, employee benefit reporting, organizational units and positions
  • Reconcile various employee benefits including 401k contributions and vacation balances
  • Complete various month-end account reconciliations, research variances and propose adjustments.
  • Review reconciliations and data prepared by other staff members
  • Research and resolve complex accounting transactions and compliance questions
  • Identify and help implement process improvements
  • Document accounting policies and procedures
  • Formulate annual direct labor rates
  • Supports 401k plan administration and compliance
  • Complete the annual incurred cost submission (ICE) schedules for DCAA
  • Supports proposal audits conducted by DCAA
  • Completes special projects and other duties as assigned

Additional Information

Compensation and Further Details

Compensation: Base pay range is $80,000-$125,000 depending on qualifications. SEAKR has very rich medical, dental and vision insurance plans, along with a generous 401(k) retirement plan. In addition to base salary, employees are eligible for a year-end bonus. SEAKR offers a variety of paid leave, such as vacation, sick, bereavement, and FMLA.
