This intern will facilitate the development of a process for communication and documentation of requirements and engineering designs as they flow from Mechanical Engineer (assembly drawings) to Manufacturing Engineer (Product Build Traveler).  Their tasks will include coordinating with personnel in both departments to understand the current process and to cooperatively define process improvements and providing and documenting ideas to make the process more thorough and more efficient.

Ideally, this candidate would be a sophomore or above, working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or another related discipline, or who has an interest in manufacturing. process

Education or Formal Training 

• The ideal candidate will have completed their third year toward an Engineering Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or industrial engineering.
