Seven or more years of experience with a focus on Data Visualization design and development.  Should be an expert contributor in data modeling and data calculation development.  Should have at least one industry vertical focus.

Expertise in working closely with business and IT stakeholders to define problems and design data visualization solutions.  Also should be capable of leading small to medium size projects.

• Engagement Level: Ability to execute normal tasks with little supervision.  Aware of when to bring in necessary support to ensure successful delivery. Establishes rapport with client team members and helps identify potential issues at an engagement.  Notifies key leadership team members of any issues.  Drives clarity for technical team members in execution of design.
• Communication: Demonstrates professional oral/written communication and listening skills. Ensures that written documents meet defined standards and is able to facilitate medium group discussions that may include executive team members.
  
  
• Industry Knowledge: Contributes to business process adaptation caused by implementation of new technologies based on insight in one or more industry verticals.

• Business Development: Leads the technical solution proposal and is involved in the project's estimates for projects of medium size and complexity. Participates and/or leads in customer's pre-sales meetings. Ability to work with Sales Team to understand customer’s business problem and help develop solution approach.  Ability to translate solution approach into statement of work with recommendations on team size, duration and overall estimate of effort for medium to large engagements.  Involved in regional and national Marketing/PR initiatives, often in a leadership/speaker capacity.

• Project Management: Structures and manages technical set-up and execution for projects of medium size and complexity: estimating, planning, skill requirements, deliverables. Deep knowledge of the software development lifecycle and best practices including code reviews, design reviews and Test Driven Development.  Enforcement of best practices on technical team.

• Decision Making: Makes independent decisions, which have major day-to-day impact in area of responsibility and ensures that internal and customer stakeholders understand rationale and are bought in.

• Corporate Contribution: Initiates and leads internal activities (recruitment, culture, communication, knowledge sharing, etc.) through mentoring, thought leadership activities such as internal/external blogging, webcasts, internal training presentation and content authorship.

• Mentoring/Career Advisor: Coaches and trains team members, acting as a role model for others. May lead the knowledge transfer to the customer.

• Community Visibility: Periodically involved with Regional industry and/or MS related speaking and/or training events.

• Technical Skills:  Working knowledge in each of the following core technologies:

o   Microsoft Power BI Desktop

o   Microsoft Power BI Service

o   Tableau Desktop and Server

o   Expert level knowledge of T-SQL language

o   SQL Server Analysis Services

o   SQL Server Reporting Services

o   General understanding of data integration

o   General understanding of Azure Cortana Intelligence suite machine learning and artificial intelligence

o   Understanding of both Kimball and Corporate Information Factory data modeling approaches

o   Other data platforms such as Alteryx, AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Oracle, Business Objects, SAP, MicroStrategy, Crystal Reports, ClikView and any others

o   High level understanding of data governance and data quality processes
