Your Role
As a District Manager, you play a crucial role in achieving rue21’s results by inspiring Store Managers to take ownership of their store's performance and cultivate a customer-first attitude. Staying ahead of market trends, observing competitor and customer patterns, and using business KPI performance as a guide, you are results-oriented and customer-focused. You are committed to supporting rue21's vision, mission, and values, fostering an inclusive environment, and setting an example for your team.
Day in the Life
• Staffing Excellence: Collaborate with Store Managers to achieve staffing goals, ensuring elevated service, and selling behaviors at all times.
• Succession Planning: Contribute to the creation of succession plans in all stores for future promotions and role transitions.
• Recruitment and Retention: Recruit, develop, and retain qualified associates to meet staffing needs.
• Coaching and Development: Provide consistent coaching and development, utilizing company tools and "in the moment" training to ensure ongoing team engagement.
• Transparent Communication: Clearly communicate goals and results to all associates, fostering a sense of urgency and comfort in ambiguous situations. Act as the lynchpin of execution.
• Result-Oriented Leadership: Ensures that management and teams can recite and review business results at all levels, fostering a culture of accountability and shared responsibility for outcomes.
• Visual Execution: Focus on store standards and presentation, offering suggestions on merchandise needs, reacting to sell-through, and maintaining continuous store standards and visual presentation throughout the market.
