Job Description

Overview:

       The rue21 Facilities and Maintenance department performs as a service entity to the rue21 Production team. The rue21 Facilities Industrial Electrician is expected to be reliable and competent in all listed required responsibilities and perform their duties in a safe, competent, and professional manner.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform advanced troubleshooting and repairs on 120VAC Single Phase through 480VAC Three Phase automated electrical control systems, as well as general electrical installations and repairs
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting and repairs on automated mechanical conveyor and control systems, encompassing pneumatic and hydraulic equipment, as well as general mechanical installations and repairs
  • Perform preventative maintenance to specifications on conveyor systems and material handling equipment, including both electrical and mechanical automated control devices
  • Research and define replacement parts, obtain pricing, create purchase orders, and the requisitioning of parts for electrical projects / repairs, as well as general mechanical maintenance repairs
  • Perform data entry to maintain the distribution center parts inventory
  • Perform general construction as necessary
  • Ability to work independently, as well as in a team setting
  • Performs general indoor and outdoor maintenance as well as snow removal when necessary
  • Generates daily reports on work completed
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Journeyman electrician’s license or equivalent required
  • 5 years previous maintenance experience in the same or similar field required
  • Certification or verifiable specialty experience in one or more of the following areas:
    • Electrical installation and troubleshooting
    • Electronic controls (both high and low voltage)
    • Programmable Logic Controllers / PLC Troubleshooting
    • Mechanical trades
    • HVAC
    • Lift equipment repair
    • Automated material handling equipment
    • Pneumatics / hydraulics
  • Must be able to read and interpret mechanical and electrical blueprints and as operation and technical specification manuals
  • Demonstrated abilities to work cross functionally and communicate effectively.
  • Must be able to work off of a scissor lift platform as well as other adverse positioning and conditions, including confined or cramped spaces
  • Must be able to lift and maneuver 50lbs
